Surrey Paving works mostly with cationic emulsions and
its derivatives. Before we established our subsidiary
Asphalt Emulsions Limited, only anionic emulsion with
a negative particle charge had been marketed in
Jamaica.
Testing with local aggregates shows that
cationic emulsions with a positive charge are more
suitable for us in all types of road construction. Asphalt
Emulsions manufactures cationic emulsions exclusively
because their use results in better adhesion of the
aggregate in the asphalt layer. |
