Aggregates
We produce some of the aggregates used on our projects, such as crush stone, base course and sub base. We operate several quarries which provide a reliable source of raw material.
Asphalted Concrete
Asphalt Concrete (also referred to as hot mix asphalt) is composed of aggregates bonded together into mass by asphalt cement. The aggregates total 93-97% by weight of the total mixture and are mixed with 3-7% asphalt cement. Asphalt cement is commonly used in road surfaces, airports and parking lots.
Asphalt Emulsion
Asphalt emulsion employs one of the technologies that allow asphalt to be mixed at a much lower temperature. This technology involves mixing the asphalt with petroleum solvents to form "cutbacks" with reduced melting point or mixtures with water to turn the asphalt into emulsion. Asphalt emulsions contains up to 70% asphalt typically less than 1.5% chemical additives.
Curb Blocks
Curb blocks are prefabricated for the making of curb (along road way) of any length, shape or form. Its is also used in parking lots and referred to as car stop. The design of the curb block (top is normally angled) is such that it is not compromised when introduced to weathering conditions, easy to install and can last for many years.
